A ‘Mini Originals’ Art section makes owning a piece of original local art accessible to everyone, even those on a modest budget. With a wide range of prints and artists’ cards available too, it’s an event not to be missed. An essential part of the Tamar Valley creative calendar Drawn to the Valley artists range from painters and printmakers to ceramicists, sculptors, wood and glass workers, jewellers and textile artists. Our open studios event was formed nearly 15 years ago; partly in order to promote the Tamar Valley region, and to contribute to the regeneration of the local economy through exhibitions and Open Studios. They are united by their passion for this beautiful, but sometimes forgotten, part of Devon and Cornwall and put on the Open Studios event annually, to attract visitors to appreciate art in a variety of different media that reflect developments in both traditional and contemporary art. Open Studios provides a chance to experience many of the best established and emerging artists and the opportunity to own an original piece of artwork.

Brochures available from local Tourist Information Centres, Libraries, Hotels, Art Centres, Garden Centres and places of interest from July.
