Roger Pyke, working in Mixed-media, Painting

Roger Pyke is a self-taught Cornish artist based in Launceston with a skill for capturing the historical essence of local architecture, movement of life and vibrant sense of light and shadow within a textured paint technique. Since being diagnosed with severe and disabling Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), Roger has adapted his painting style so he can paint for very short periods of time whilst housebound. His wife, Cherry handles all sales, exhibitions and ordering of supplies, enabling Roger to develop his original work within the daily limitations of his condition and achieve recognition from this new collection.
