Miranda Qualtrough, working in Ceramics

My work reflects my interest in the relationship between people, nature and pottery. Each vessel is unique and expresses beauty and flaws in the workmanship. I choose porcelain for my burnished work because its translucence and delicacy most resembles human skin. It also has a wonderful absorbent surface which embraces the elements with which I surround the vessels during firing.
