Mary Harold, working in Mixed-media, Painting, Printmaking, Textiles

I am firstly a silk screen printer but I also love to paint and stitch! I mostly work at home from my kitchen table. I print on to textiles and paper using traditional hand screen printing techniques. My screen print work generally starts off with mono-print drawings which I transfer to a screen and create small print runs. My garden, the wildlife and countryside around where I live in rural West Devon is a big inspiration as is my collection of much loved old and found crockery and domestic ware. I studied Fine Art & Textiles at Camborne College, Cornwall. I currently teach the beginners printed textile evening class at Plymouth College of Art. I also run other workshops for the college covering a range of printmaking and dyeing techniques including indigo and shibori.
