Mary Harold, working in Painting, Mixed-media, Photography, Printmaking

I am firstly a silk screen printer but I also love to paint and stitch! I mostly work at home from my kitchen table but I have also signed up for the Open Access to the Print room at Plymouth College of Art which has a great space, and equipment such as the UV exposure unit and heat presses. I print on to textiles and paper using traditional hand screen printing techniques. My work generally starts off with mono-print drawings which I transfer to a screen and create small print runs.
My garden and the countryside around where I live in rural West Devon is a big inspiration as is my collection of much loved old and found crockery and domestic ware. I studied Fine Art & Textiles at Camborne College, Cornwall. I took part in County Living magazine’s first pop-up market held at the London Design Center. I have taught ‘Printed Textiles’ at the Saturday Arts Club at Plymouth College of Art.
